The MacBook Pro is more powerful and has a CD drive. If you need a lot of storage, or are a gamer or video editor, than you need a MacBook Pro. However, if you just need it for light use, than you should be fine with the Air.

Original Question

Powered by Yahoo! And if there is not really a difference then which one is better. I am a student so I wont be using it for other things like gaming. Just social networking and school work, surfing the net, and downloading music, and burning movies.

A. The main difference in the 3 computers are the processor and the casing.

Macbook is not made of aluminum but more like a hard plastic. It has a slightly slower processor and you can only upgrade to 4GB of RAM.

Macbook Pro is made of precision unibody aluminum enclosure. The processor is one of the fastest you can get in a laptop. The screen bezel is also black to make the screen color pop and make watching movies more enhanced. It includes a SD card slot, Firewire 400 & 800. The RAM is upgradable to 8GB.

Macbook Air is very light and thin. Good Processor and great keyboard and screen that's similar to the Macbook Pro. However, no firewire and no DVD drive is a major drawback for someone who wants to burn movies or create movies by importing DV video.

For a college student, I highly recommend the Macbook Pro 13" or 15".

Original Question

Powered by Yahoo! I have three laptops, 6 computers, and 2 servers (one with three virtual servers) on my network (think I'm a bit qualified for the review :D).
The netbook is a AWESOME device for web surfing, word processing, and email. After upgrading from 1GB of RAM to 2GB (I would considered this a requirement), it ran smoothly on video playback. As noted before, HD playback is slow and choppy, but regular playback was VERY good.
I upgrade my netbook to Windows 7 Pro. It still runs decently quick, both on boot and resume from sleep.
As far as battery life, I average 10hrs per charge (bluetooth off, brightness turned all the way down). This is true autonomous device. I've ran this device in several meetings, multimedia presentations, and music machine all on ONE charge.

Original Question

Powered by Yahoo!

How does iPhoto for MacBook reduce the size of uploaded pictures?

Q. When uploading photos from my iPhoto onto Facebook, it reduces the size of the photo, making it a lot smaller. Even with PC, when trying to connect Vista to XP it is near impossible without the know how.

Theroetically you should be able to connect the two together, but if you don't know exactly what you are doing, then STOP NOW BEFORE YOU MESS EVERYTHING UP, bring your problem to the attention to GEEK SQUAD (TM) or APPLE (TM) and have an actual person come out and help you.

IT is NEAR IMPOSSIBLE to diagnose any issue, be it car or computer related, over the internet or phone, one would have to actually be there and see first hand what the problem is.

Also, in order to recieve any type of help, from here or any where, you would need to include more information about the problem you are having and everything you have tried, also if you don't have any experience in this or don't know at least 70% of what you are doing, then don't try it.

I run PC and love Winodws XP. Usually people declare it as a gift or something like that so you avoid customs fees. They can also try to declare the item as a defective return or something of the like to try to dodge the fees. But it's all up to the seller if they want to declare it or not. If they do and get caught it's a hefty fine.

Original Question

What do I need to buy to get internet on an old laptop? The seller will likely wait until your payment has cleared before shipping to you. Many will not take credit cards from Eastern Europe because of the high amount of credit card fraud and chargebacks there.

2. The shipping will be relatively expensive to Ukraine.

3. You will be liable for customs duties on the laptop, and will have to pay that fee when you pick up your laptop at customs. Usually the customs fees on items like computers (to individuals) is 21% or more of the "determined value" in Ukraine.

The cost of comparable laptops in Ukrainian computer stores is not that much more than you will buy it for on eBay, if you look around.

Original Question

Powered by Yahoo! To be guaranteed access in most places, you'll have to buy an expansion card (for an ExpressCard/34 slot in your case) and sign up for mobile wireless service with a phone/internet company. For example:

http://b2b.vzw.com/broadband/bbapccard.html

Original Question

How do you add internet to the new vaoi sony laptop with the media gallery using an Ethernet cable?

Q. I bought the vaoi sony laptop from the commercial "Media Monster vs. Justin Timberlake" and i only have wifi at my college so i can connect there but at home i have a modem. is there a way to connect to the internet using my Ethernet cable? the laptop has a wifi on and off switch, what does that switch do? will it allow me to add internet using an Ethernet cable? thank you^^

A. Just turn off the Wi-Fi button and plug in your Ethernet cable.

Original Question

Is there a driver patch, or update that will allow my Sony laptop to start with a Mac keyboard attached?

Q. I have a Sony laptop that stays stationary on my desk. There's a few different keys named differently but it shouldn't prevent a machine from booting. It's not likely that Apple, Microsoft, or Sony have created a patch for that specific keyboard to run under Windows 7.

Best guess is there's something specific about that keyboard and that laptop (test the keyboard on another PC to see if it works, if it does the Sony or Win 7 is the issue). There could also be a BIOS setting that's causing the incompatibility. Look around in the laptop's BIOS (usually F1 or Del on bootup) and look for settings regarding USB keyboards (test changing these one at a time) and/or PnP OSes (should be enabled).

Original Question

Powered by Yahoo!
