How to format my macbook HD and start from scratch?

Q. I'm planning on buying a brand new Tiger OS install cd/dvd. For two laptops, will I need the single one or the family version?

A. To have a legally installed version of Mac OS X on the two systems depends on what the scenario is. You can only use the Family Pack version if you are installing in more than one computer in the same household. It is not intended for business. For business, or for systems not in the same household you have to purchase one DVD per system.

Truthfully, nobody might notice if you use one DVD for both systems, but there may be licensing issues if something goes wrong. Here's some information from Apple's website:

* Family Pack Software License Agreement allows you to install and use one copy of the Apple Software on up to a maximum of five (5) Apple-labeled computers at a time as long as those computers are located in the same household and used by persons who occupy that same household. By "household" we mean a person or persons who share the same housing unit such as a home, apartment, mobile home or condominium, but shall also extend to student members who are primary residents of that household but residing at a separate on-campus location. This license does not extend to business or commercial users.

What is the difference between normal macbook and the more expensive black and white macbook?
Q. What are some of the main differences between the one that cost about thousand dollars and and the one that is four hundred dollars more. Please do not tell me to go to the site because I didn`t discover much.

A. The more expensive models come with the following hardware upgrades:

2.4GHz processor (vs. 2.1GHz for the lower end model)
2GB of memory (vs. 1GB)
250GB hard drive (vs. 120GB for the lower end model and 160GB for the mid-range)
DVD/CD writer (vs. just a CD writer in the lower end model)

Hope this helps!

What is the difference between MacBook Air and MacBook Pro?
Q. So I want to save up for a MacBook for my 15th birthday this November. I just want to know which one I should get... MacBook Air or MacBook Pro? What is the difference? Please explain.

(I put this in a popular category to get more answers, I know its the wrong category).
The MacBook Pro is much more expensive, why is that? What's better about it?

A. Air: Hellofva light ligher than the Pro. Less "bulkier" (the Pro isn't bulky at all to begin with). Doesn't have a CD Drive

Pro: Bit heavier, has a CD drive.

Other than the a few physical components, they're essentially the same thing.

Edit*:

The Air is more expensive for the pro. The Price you were looking at was the price for the 11 inch air, which does start at $999. But when you compare the price of both 13 inch laptops, the price for the Air is $1299 vs. the Pro which is priced at $1199
